As a child, I remember being so excited about the first snowfall of winter! Our kids get just as excited. They immediately want to pull out all of the snowsuits, gloves, hats, and run out to play in the cold, white fluff! The first snowfall this year was on October 5, but it only lasted one day. The rest of the month...nothing. So, all month long, we have had the snow clothes out and ready to go, waiting for more snow. James has continued to put his snow suit on just about every day. In fact, he and Sarah have discovered a new activity. They put on their snow suits and slide down the stairway. You can hear them laugh and scream as they "thump, thump, thump" down the stairs. Great fun! At least those snow clothes are getting some use!
Here is a picture of their first snowman built on October 5th. (This also happened to be the first day of Spud Harvest. I am sure the farmers weren't too thrilled!)
