Fantastic Fall!

I think in Rexburg, the season fall stands for the first "snow"fall. I'm never ready for the first snowfall. Ever. As evidenced by the garden hose. Neither were my pretty petunias.

The kids straightaway went into the garage, dug out their winter clothes (Much to my dismay!) and proceeded to build snowmen. This happened, by the way, around October 6th or 7th - right smack during spud harvest. Of course!

But, it all went away just in time for a visit from our friend, Sugar! (Alice Ashton) She came from Utah just to hang out with us for a weekend. And, it was a BLAST! I took lots of pictures when we went to the straw maze.

And, I decided to dedicate an entire collage to Paul. (Natalie and her kids joined us.) He was just so dang cute, and the only kid who would hang out with us and help us get through the maze.

We finally all met up again afterwards. James and Brigham made it through first. However, they revealed to us that they came out the same way they went in. Hmmm...No wonder they got out so quick! Stinkers. But, I got out before Richard, and that's really all that mattered.

James and Sugar are best buds. We'd like to think she came to see all of us, but I'm thinking she just came to visit James. ;) Thanks, Sug, for a fabulously FUN weekend!

Peter got a leash! And, Sarah has loved "walking" her bunny. We've had this creature for about six months now and she still adores him! One day, Richard (to be funny) said, "I'm worried Sarah loves Peter more than me." She said, "No, Daaaad, I love you both the same!" Hahaha!

Also in October, we took a quick trip to Salt Lake to attend the sealing of Rob and Alison, and their sweet daughter in the Draper temple.

Here's the happy family! It was a special day, and we were so glad to be able to attend.

  1. I just perused about a years worth of your blog. It's so fun to see what your family has been up to, even the parts that we have missed since we have moved =(. We are excited to visit next week and spend some time with your family!
