Just like I was glad that I stopped long enough to realize the beauty in the temple, I was also glad that I took a moment to notice and take a picture of this one day.

Ever since James discovered that he could build a fort and sleep in it at night, I've been seeing a lot of this with many different variations. Sarah will sometimes go in and help him with some fancy concoction before bed. These forts usually have two rooms. I've found that it's a lot trickier to lay by James and kiss him goodnight. But, I let him do it. You're only young once, right?
I posted this next picture on facebook, so you may have already seen it. Although I can laugh about it now, I was not laughing about it then. The girls had been asking for American Girl dolls for a couple months. I debated for a while on whether or not to spend the money. (They aren't cheap!) I had even considered just giving them my old AG doll for the girls to share. (I AM cheap! Ha!) But, since they kept saying that a doll was ALL they wanted, and they didn't ask for anything else, seriously, I went ahead and ordered the dolls. And, then they came the day that Richard and I were out shopping. Nice.
Funny how the note says they didn't see very much... Uh, they didn't need to see very much to know exactly what this was! But, to their credit, they squealed with pure delight when they opened them on Christmas morning. I'm not sure if they practiced being surprised or what, but they both ran over and hugged me and made such a big deal about their American Girl dolls. And, they play together with them so, so well. This was a gift that certainly didn't leave us with buyer's remorse. Totally worth it. :)
