Legoland

Sorry to be such a slacker lately. I guess I've been too busy vacationing, or practicing, or eating, or something.
Anyway, back to our trip to California. After our two marvelous days at Disneyland, we thought we'd surprise the kids and go Legoland before heading home. The boys had talked much about going to Legoland, and for as much as they love Legos, I thought this would be a great opportunity. Although we had fun, we decided afterwards that it would have been better to go to Legoland first and THEN Disneyland. Or, forgo Legoland altogether and spend a third day at Disneyland. (And, after figuring the numbers, another day at Disneyland would have actually been cheaper.) When it comes down to it, no one does it like Disney. And, to be honest, we were a little underwhelmed with Legoland. Long lines. Non-exciting rides. Expensive entrance fee (even with discounts I found), and expensive food. But, we made the most of it, and we really did have fun.

Waiting in line.

Waiting in line some more. At least the map kept them entertained for a while.

Lego cars are pretty cool to ride in. And, they even had a roller coaster that we were miraculously able to con James into riding. He even enjoyed it! It was truly a miracle. Too bad it will probably be a long time before he gets to ride another one.

Taking a little break to see the process it takes to make Legos.

I meant to throw a few of these picture into collages, but I was too lazy. I blame it on Thanksgiving.
This will be a trip our family will always look back on with fond memories. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to go!
