Some pictures from Christmas. This was our tree. It looked pretty much the same as the year before, and the year before, with the exception of a few new handmade ornaments the kids made at school.
The girl's stash. The American Girl doll in this picture is my old one. I was hoping to fool the girls into thinking this was the doll they were getting for Christmas. (Refer to, "Whirlwind Part 4".) I don't think they fell for it, but it was worth a shot.
The boy's stash.
Oh, the anticipation is almost too much!
And here they are with their "real" American Girl dolls. Despite the fact that the surprise was ruined for them only days earlier, they were ecstatic when they opened them. They were screaming with delight and ran over to give me a great big hug, saying "Thank you!" over and over. Darn near made me cry.
After opening gifts in the morning, we went to church, and then to my parents for a fabulous breakfast and gift-exchange.
A fun gift to my parents from Jared and Nicole.
Sarah even allowed Richard to take a nap with her doll that afternoon.
Awe, shucks!
We spent the evening at my grandparent's house in St. Anthony. It's always fun to see and visit with aunts, uncles, and cousins. And, of course, Grandma and Granddad Burt! I only took a couple pictures, however. I guess I was all pictured-out by this time.

I think it's funny you're still writing about Christmas! ha ha What a busy December. I've pretty much given up doing anything besides taking care of one little boy so I admire your ambition to do everything. :)
