Updates

James likes to dress up from time to time. Unfortunately, he has no concept of size. I think I bought this kitty costume for Marianne when she was two. hmmmmm... After about the fourth day straight of James in this kitty costume, I took a picture, snatched it when he woke up and took it off, and placed it somewhere very high when he wasn't looking. I love being sneaky like that.

Marianne's dimple returned! (...for those who may not have noticed in the previous post. And, for those observant ones out there - no I did not plan for her to be wearing the same shirt in every dimple picture. And, yes she does own other shirts.) Anyway, we are overjoyed! I suppose we will keep her now. And, I guess I better not send that "hate" mail to the dentist...;o

Side note: The tooth he filled just came out yesterday. It was a baby tooth. Let's just say the dentist is fortunate that the dimple came back.

I promise I did not set this one up. They really were just sitting there like that - hugging and playing the Wii at the same time. Or...more likely Thomas was just hogging the entire seat so Sarah wrapped her arm around him in order to stay on. And, then Thomas just assumed she was being sweet so he returned the favor. (Boys just never catch the hint, do they?) But, I was glad he didn't in this case. This picture is a keeper.

Side note: The original cover for this piano bench (cheap vinyl) was shredded. When the black tape holding it together just wasn't doing the trick anymore, Richard tore the cover off and re-covered it with a pillow case. Yup. We are master-riggers around here. Well, Richard is anyway. It's supposed to be temporary, but temporary for us is a few years, at least.

And, lest you think that ALL we do around here is play Wii, I have proof that we do witness creative play on occasion. FYI: There is a 75% chance that when taking a picture of a four-year-old boy, there will be remnants of food on his face.

Sarah had her kindergarten "100-Days of School" party. She had to dress up like a 100-year old.

I thought she was a pretty cute little old lady.

You can't grasp the fullness of this next picture without turning up the volume on your speakers. I added some Mozart Symphonies to the playlist on my sidebar. I had to, or this next picture would not make much sense.

Raise your hand if you and your spouse spend quiet evenings ("quiet" as in kids are in bed and supposedly asleep) together listening to Mozart symphonies on your couch. We do. Okay, we did this once recently anyway. And, okay, Richard had to pry me off of my computer and drag me over to the coach. And, for an hour or so, I forced myself to ignore all the "stuff" that needed to be done, and I just listened with him. It was absolutely delightful. It caused me to question why we don't do this more often. You should seriously try it sometime. *I will give you a dollar if you do.

*Not an actual money offer.
