I just had to take this rare opportunity for before/after shots.
So, here you have it:
Before: In the raw
(I dare you to shower at night, take a picture of yourself the next morning before touching your hair or face, and then POST IT ON YOUR BLOG! Let's just see if you can be as brave as me.)
I know. Irresistable, right? This is my hair in it's most natural state. If you were to look close enough, you might spot a gray one, or two. (Or more.)
After: Fake smile included
This is what I got from my loving family:
Sarah: Ran over to me smiling from ear to ear, and in her ecstatic voice exclaimed, "Mom, I like you even more now! Your hair is so cute!"
Marianne: With a puzzled look on her face said, "Mom, I don't recognize you at all now." Me, "Really?" Marianne's suggestion: "You could wear a wig.?."
Richard: "Well, you look more like your Mii character now." (Uh, was that a compliment?)
Who knew this new do would make such an impression on my family? I was mostly just grateful to get rid of all those bad ends!
One thing I learned: I HATE taking pictures of myself. It's kind of like slipping on the ice. I feel like I need to look around and make sure no one saw.

KaraLyn, you're beautiful ALWAYS!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your new do, very sleek and pretty. I had no idea you had so much natural wave in your hair. Do you ever style it curly with mousse and a diffuser. I bet with it shorter you could get some pretty curls for a change some time, just a thought :)
ReplyDeleteKaraLyn! You are a VERY brave woman :) but you can so pull it off- no one would recognize me if I took a picture of myself in the morning. Love your new hair cut, and I love reading your family blog and keeping up with you guys. :)
ReplyDeleteWay cute! Some kids are just waaaay too honest, don't you think?
