Christmas Eve

This post is going to be long. I will just tell you flat out! I took a lot of pictures on Christmas Eve.

First, we went to the Nursing Home to sing and play our instruments for the old folks. This is a tradition in the Burt family. Abram is making sure baby Jesus has his binky. Do you think baby Jesus had a binky???

Since I was playing the piano, my brothers took over my camera from here on out. (I think Trev was just trying to get out of singing...)

Ashley sang a beautiful solo - Silent Night

And Dad is....texting??? Dad, didn't you know it's not safe to text while singing in nursing homes? ;)

Magan played a very nice piano solo.

And, here is our little family orchestra.

I discovered that this is what you get when you hand the camera over to your brothers at a nursing home:

Looks like they found Nemo.

I am not sure who took what pictures, but I think the camera passed through Trev, Lance, and Kevin.

Hey, I don't remember the Bar J Wranglers performing with us!!!

Wishing all the sweet folks a Merry Christmas!

After the nursing home, we headed to Mom and Dad's for dinner. Mom put us to work frosting cookies for Santa. Here is Ashley. Isn't she so pretty?

Santa himself with Sarah and Rachel.

My brother, Kevin, surprised us all and flew in from Alaska a couple days before Christmas. We didn't think we would see him this year, but we were SO HAPPY that he came. :D

Sarah, James, and Rachel waiting for dinner. Look at those cheesy grins!!!

Beautiful girlies. Magan, Marianne, and Ashley

Will and his awesome curly hair. Love it!

Granddad likes to take the grandkids out to the playhouse to read a Christmas story on Christmas Eve. They also get to eat cookies and hot chocolate - Lucky!

Isn't this cute? If it was a little bigger, I could totally live here. It's decorated better than our house!

The hardest part was getting the kids to calm down enough to listen.

"Hmmm, this looks good..."

"Yummm..."

Abram may or may not have been more interested in the toys than the story.

Thanks, Mom and Dad, for always making this so special for us! What a wonderful day!!!
