Ferguson Party

After Christmas, we had a nice get-together with some of Richard's siblings and his parents. One of his (and mine, come to think of it) most favorite activities ever is to sit and talk and laugh with his family. And, if you can get Carma (Mom) to laugh, not chuckle, but "burst into tears" laugh, well, that's a special treat. One that should be fully appreciated, because it's a rare treasure for sure. They are so hilarious, and I love the stories. Oh, the stories!!! Some of the topics discussed might seem a little on the side of, well...unrefined (? for lack of a better word), but once you become familiar with their history and humor - it's unparalleled entertainment. Really. I should just stop trying to explain, because I don't know that I am making much sense to the non-Ferguson readers. The only problem is, an opportunity to mingle in such a way with the Ferguson clan is quite rare. So many of his siblings live far away with growing families. Many of them are already grandparents. This complicates things, but we try to take advantage of every opportunity we can. I couldn't have married into a better family, and that is all I have to say about that!

Jeff and Nichole and Sandy and Tecia were visiting from Boise, so we thought that was a good enough excuse to plan something. Scott, Richard's brother, offered to hold it at his home. Here are some pictures. (Proof that we do hold fun gatherings with Richard's famiy on occassion.) We, of course, missed those who could not attend - which was a lot!

A lot of foosball was played. Above: Richard and Kevin - Below: Scott and J.C.

Jeff and Richard - (Richard wanted me to mention that he kicked everyone's rear at foosball.)

Tecia, Dad, and Gracie

Candice, Gracie, Sterling, Sandy, and Tecia.

Georgann and Julie

Two of the most Christlike people I know. I am so grateful that we have been able to live close to Richard's folks, and glean from their great wisdom and example.
