The F & A Christmas Party

On December 21st, we went to Badger Creek to have the annual F & A Christmas party. (Ferguson/Ashton - Richard and Brian came up with that name. Don't think about it too much.) This party involved sledding, juicy steaks, homemade fries and onion rings, and the game "Slam Bang". (Or is it Creepy Crawly? I can't ever remember.) We ended with an inspirational message and a movie. The movie was maybe not so inspirational, but at least we got some good laughs!

After getting all geared up,

we took a ride on the snowmobiles out to the sledding hill.

The sledding hill was actually really slick this year. I could only get James to go down twice with me, and then he'd had enough. He thought it was way too fast. Of course, it didn't help that we totally crashed at the bottom and I rolled over top of him smashing his face directly into the frozen snow! Surprisingly, he didn't cry. He just said, "I want to go back to the house so I can look at my face in the mirror." He must have thought he looked like the abominable snowman, or something.

So, I took a picture of his face to show him. Sure enough, his face was perfectly normal. Colder maybe, but still normal. He still wanted to go back to the house, but then so did Paul and Annie, so Natalie and I ditched the sledding party early so we could start preparing dinner. I mean, chat and get warm.

This game turned out to be a big hit with all of the kids. I mean, big bang.

I saved my favorite picture for last. I love how little girls sit. This is Annie and Sarah sharing the chair, both 7 yrs. old.

Thanks, Brian and Natalie, for such a fun evening!
