Recital

I love this picture of the kids before the recital. I feel bad that James wasn't holding his tiny violin. I don't think I let him because I was afraid he'd accidentally throw it across the room or something. You just never know with that kid!

We held our student recitals in December at the music store. Although I did get videos of the kids playing, I'm not going to post them. James performed "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" (pepperoni pizza) on his violin. Sarah performed a piano piece called Alouette (level 2 Alfred). William performed The Glow-Worm (level 4 Alfred) and Perpetual Motion on viola. Marianne performed Away in a Manger violin solo by Larry Bebe. Sorry to bore you with all that info, but I like to keep track of that sort of thing.

I can't teach private lessons except for a few in the early mornings when the kids are asleep because I teach my own kids all afternoon. The older kids are getting to where they can practice without my help, but I still have to help the younger ones every day. I am really grateful that I can do it, however. Thomas takes cello from Brian Ashton and William takes viola from Natalie Blackburn, but besides that it's just me. I compared prices, and I am just the cheapest by far. And, it's pretty easy to transport them back and forth to lessons. :)
