Opportunity of a LIFETIME!

Richard is a finalist for the YouTube Symphony 2011!

For those who are thinking to themselves, "So....what???" I will fill you in.

The YouTube Symphony is an orchestra that anyone in the world can audition for by posting a video of themselves on YouTube playing a specified list of required musical excerpts. Have I lost you yet? Richard was screened by a panel of judges and has made it to the final round along with 299 other finalists. (72 of them are violinists.) 100 of these finalists will be chosen to fly to Sydney, Australia to perform in the Sydney Opera House! So, how are these finalists chosen? BY VOTERS LIKE YOURSELF! Yup, YOU! You have the opportunity to vote for Richard on the YouTube Symphony Site! Here are the instructions:

Go to the site and click on "Vote Now" then click on "Orchestral Auditions". When you see the orchestra of instruments, pick the violin. You will then see all of the violin auditions. Look for the handsome fellow in the blue shirt and tie. Under the title of his video it will say, rrkbferg. VOTE FOR THIS VIDEO! If you want, that is. I don't want you to feel pressured or anything, but holy smokes! Wouldn't this be an amazing opportunity for him? You can vote every day for seven days. We will know who the winners are sometime around the 17th of December.

Whatever happens, we are so thrilled that he was chosen by these judges among so many wonderful auditions. What can I say? I have a pretty awesome husband. And, why didn't I audition, you ask? (A lot of people have anyway.) Well, I don't keep up on the practicing like Richard does so I didn't feel quite as confident. In fact, I didn't even consider it! But, it doesn't matter, I would be just as happy watching him go. Thanks for all of your love and support.
